Key Features of the Axon 40 Ultra
The Axon 40 Ultra is ZTE's newest smartphone flagship. In order to compete with the most excellent camera phones on the market, such as the Galaxy S22 Ultra, iPhone 13 Pro, and Honor Magic4 Pro, the new device has got a high-quality main camera.
‘Under-display' selfie cameras have been around for a while now, but this time around, ZTE has put the technology to use on its “Ultra” model. The Axon 25G and Axon 35G also have this unusual camera. The Axon 40 Ultra has a 6.8-inch AMOLED display (with HDR10+ support) with 400 pixels per inch (PPI), 1116 x 2480p resolution, and a refresh rate of 120 hertz (with a touch sampling rate of 360 hertz).
A new UDC pro processor from ZTE is driving the display, and a new sub-pixel arrangement over the camera improves the uniformity of the area. This 10-bit panel has 100 DCI-P3 coverage, a peak brightness of 1,500 nits.
Similar to the Axon 40, the Axon 40 Ultra has a modified Sony IMX787 sensor and a triple 64-megapixel camera with wide-and ultra-wide modules. A 16-megapixel sensor with a 1.22-micrometre pixel size is used for self-portraits on the selfie camera.

The main camera utilizes a 7P lens that has an aperture of f/1.6 and a focal length of 35mm. Optical image stabilization and directional autofocus are also included in this camera. The ultra-wide module includes an autofocus 16mm lens, allowing it to take macro images. The IMX787 sensor is used in both of these modules.
The telephoto module has a 91mm periscope lens with an f/3.5 aperture for its telephoto lens. You will also be able to swiftly choose between focal lengths thanks to the Axon 40 Ultra's three rear cameras, all of which are capable of recording 8K video. Plus, the Axon 40 Ultra can keep all three cameras active at the same time.
The ZTE Axon 40 Ultra runs on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. It comes with 8 gigabytes of RAM, but you can upgrade it to 12 gigabytes or even 16 gigabytes if you need more memory. However, that last feature is only available in the version with 1 terabyte of storage. There are 512 GB and 256 GB versions of the device. The storage of this is done using UFS 3.1, and a huge vapour chamber is used to maintain a low temperature.
The phone has a 5,000mAh battery that enables 80 watts of fast charging through USB-C. Audio can be streamed using the Type-C port. The sound is handled by the Snapdragon sound platform, which supports DTS: X Ultra for stereo speakers. Haptic feedback is produced by the 40 Ultra's X-axis linear motor.
