Key Features of the Vivo X80 Pro

The X80 Pro, which is only available in cosmic black, is an elegant and eye-catching phone. On the back, there's a huge camera plate with a smaller camera bump that houses three of the phone's cameras. Like the iQOO 9 Pro, the phone includes an extra-large fingerprint sensor area. Aside from its stunning design, the Vivo X80 Pro is dust and water resistant, with an IP68 rating.

The X80 Pro is a large phone, significantly larger than the X70 Pro and more akin to the X70 Pro+. On the front, there's a nearly 6.8-inch LTPO3 AMOLED panel with a 1440p resolution. It offers a 120Hz refresh rate, a 300Hz touch sampling rate, HDR10+ compatibility, and 1 billion colours. Vivo claims it will have a peak brightness of up to 1500 nits, making it ideal for HDR video content.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor powers the X80 Pro. So, your phone will have the latest top-of-the-line Android chipset with either 8 or 12 gigs of RAM. In order to reduce overheating, the phone includes an extra-large liquid cooling vapour chamber. The vivo X80 Pro is powered by Android 12 and FunTouch OS. It has better shortcuts, customisable icons and folders, and a quick-action lock screen overlay.

The phone boasts a large 4,700mAh battery that should provide plenty of power and quick charging. To get a full charge, you'll need around 50 minutes with the wireless charger (50 watts) and 38 minutes with the 80-watt wired charger.

In terms of the camera arrangement, vivo has once again collaborated with Zeiss, and the camera setup is both metaphorically and practically a large component of this phone. Aside from the Zeiss T* lens coating on the cameras, you'll notice traces of the partnership when taking photos, through the wide range of Zeiss bokeh modes to pick from.

The X80 Pro's hardware includes a 50-megapixel main camera with autofocus and OIS; an 8-megapixel periscope telephoto with 5x optical zoom; a 12-megapixel telephoto with 2x optical zoom; and a 48-megapixel ultrawide camera with autofocus. There's also a 32-megapixel selfie camera on the front. The phone can take video at up to 8K at 24fps or 4K at 60fps, and the vivo V1+ imaging chip should provide a better video recording experience than ever before.

With the active OIS technology, which automatically centres the camera, and the 360-degree horizon levelling stabilisation, video capture should be smooth and stable. The ultra-sensitive GNV sensor on the main camera should also let you take great photos at night and shots with balanced exposure.
