Plastic makes up most of the Samsung Galaxy M53 5G's construction. It has a solid feel to it, but it's not the most luxurious. Samsung also doesn't include a charger; all you receive is a USB Type-C to Type-C connector. The phone can be charged with any USB Type-C charger, but for fast charging, you'll need a 25W charger.
The Samsung Galaxy M53 5G is a big phone that weighs 178 g, which makes it hard to use with one hand. The fingerprint scanner on the Galaxy M53 5G is located on the side of the phone, making it more accessible and facilitating a faster unlocking process. Edge detection was excellent in the portrait pictures. Despite its limitations, the macro camera produced some decent results.
The camera's low-light performance was likewise respectable, but there was a lack of detail in the darker parts of these photos. Using night mode helped, but the phone took 3–4 seconds to shoot a picture.
Pixel-binned 8-megapixel photographs are taken by default with the 32-megapixel selfie camera. During the day, Portrait mode did a good job of finding the edges of the subject's face. This made for photos that looked natural.
This phone has a maximum video resolution of 4K at 30fps and relies on electronic image stabilisation (EIS) to stabilise the footage. The battery life on the Galaxy M53 5G is excellent. The 5,000 mAh battery lasted more than a full day with normal use. The charger you use will have an impact on the charging speed.
