Key Features of the Galaxy A73 5G
The Galaxy A73, Samsung's most premium A-series phone, is set to deliver a fantastic overall experience. The Galaxy A73 is elegantly designed and appears both simple and modern. The back side is matte-finished and composed of plastic, and it doesn't pick up fingerprints. The metal frame and polished finish give the phone a strong resemblance to the S22 and S22 Plus from Samsung.
The phone boasts a 6.7-inch super AMOLED+ display with FHD+ resolution and a high refresh rate of 120 hertz. Also, it's important to note that the A73's 120-hertz refresh rate is not adaptive. Watching videos on this phone is a joy, thanks to the vibrant colours and sharp details. In terms of its weight, the A73 is just shy of 180 g, which is fairly light for a device of its size.
Samsung phones are known for having great cameras at almost every price point. And to keep up that reputation, Samsung put a quad camera system on the back of the A73.

There is a main sensor with 108 megapixels, an ultra-wide sensor with 12 megapixels, and two 5-megapixel sensors, one for depth and one for close-up shots. Indeed, the A73 has a lot going for it in terms of camera versatility, but unlike the A72, it lacks a dedicated telephoto lens.
The A73 can shoot 4K at 30 fps, but you'll need to lower the resolution to 1080p for smoother 60 fps footage. Still, it's nice to see that this camera has optical image stabilisation. There's also an ultra-steady mode for even steadier footage.
If you're looking for a high-quality selfie camera, look no further than the Samsung Galaxy S7's 32-megapixel front-facing selfie sensor. The portrait mode also did a good job of finding edges and gave satisfying results. The front camera is capable of recording videos with the same frame rate and resolution as the rear camera, which is 4K at 30fps.
Despite its flagship price point, the Galaxy A7 runs on the Snapdragon 778 G chipset, a decent processor commonly seen in mid-range phones. It's quite an odd pick for the A73. Even so, the chipset's performance is more than adequate for most daily chores.
With Android 12 and One UI 4.1 on top, the A73 offers a great user experience. The A73 will receive four years of Android OS updates and five years of security patches from Samsung, making it one of the most reliable Android devices you can buy.
To compensate for the A73's non-adaptive 120-hertz refresh rate, Samsung has equipped the phone with an enormous 5,000 mAh battery. You will have more than a day's worth of usage with moderate usage patterns.
Fast charging also appeared to be well optimised, as 25-watt fast charging on the A73 got the phone from flat to full in roughly 80 minutes, which sounds like a lengthy moment, but it's also a big battery capacity.
There is no charging adapter included in the package, only a Type-C to Type-C cable, so if you want to take advantage of the faster charging, you'll have to spend more money by purchasing the adapter from Samsung.
A headphone jack is also absent. Even though this is kind of a setback, the A73's dual speakers are surprisingly loud and crisp. Overall, really decent audio quality.

It also has an in-display fingerprint scanner that works nicely. There's room for a MicroSD card expansion, but it comes at the cost of a second SIM card because the tray is a hybrid one. Even so, it's still better than having no extendable storage at all. The A73 also has an IP67 rating, which is something that most phones at this price point and above lack.
