Key Features of the OnePlus 10 Pro

OnePlus has announced a new flagship phone for 2022. The OnePlus 10 Pro boasts a fresh design and a new chipset, but it also shares many similarities with the OnePlus 9 Pro from the previous year. Aesthetically, the phone looks less generic than the 9 Pro, and the square camera bump fits beautifully into the frame.

All in all, it's a pretty comfortable phone to handle. The matte finish does a great job of keeping fingerprints from sticking to it. Also, the fingerprint scanner was moved higher on the screen, making it easier to reach.

Similar to the OnePlus 9 Pro, the OnePlus 10 Pro boasts an AMOLED display. It has a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with QHD+ resolution and 2nd generation LTPO technology with a dynamic 120hz refresh rate. The Gorilla Glass Victus has also been added to protect the screen.

OnePlus calibrated the display's colour profiles at 100 and 500 nits of brightness, allowing us to view more accurate colours over a wider range of brightness settings. The colour accuracy of the phone's display appears to be great. And the screen has a brightness rating of up to 1300 nits, making it ideal for outdoor use.

Oxygen OS 12.1 is running on top of Android 12 on this device. During the announcement, OnePlus said that a 256 GB version of the phone would be available later this year. For now, though, only the 128 GB version is available.

This phone has OnePlus' unique 3D passive cooling technology, as well as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 gen 1 processor. On most phones, this chip gets pretty hot, but the 10 Pros have great thermal management and barely any throttling. Because of this, the 10 Pro is an excellent option for gamers. However, you should be aware that the refresh rate of the majority of games are capped at 60 hertz.

The OnePlus 10 Pro also has a bigger battery at 5000 mAh than its predecessor. The 10 Pro has two stereo speakers that are more than good enough for listening to podcasts or watching YouTube videos.

Now, let's talk about the cameras. The 10 Pro has the second-generation Hasselblad camera. It has a 48-megapixel main camera with OIS, an 8-megapixel telephoto camera with 3.3x optical zoom, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera with a 150-degree FOV.

The ultrawide camera doesn't have autofocus, which is a shame. If you're out in the sun, the main camera will take 12-megapixel images by default. The photos taken with this camera are crisp and clear, with plenty of fine detail. Photographers can take advantage of the camera's full field of vision by using its 150-degree ultra-wide mode.

You don't need the night mode to get good images from the main camera. Because of its larger primary sensor, the main camera does an excellent job in low light, capturing detailed but not overly crisp shots while maintaining natural-looking colours.

The 10 Pro features a front-facing camera with a resolution of 32 megapixels and an aperture of f/2.2. The main camera supports 4K at 30, 60, and 120 fps if you want to record clean, sharp footage with remarkable detail. Also, the 4K video captured by the ultrawide camera appears to have satisfactory detail throughout.

The telephoto camera, on the other hand, can record at a maximum resolution of 1080p at 30fps, which is good enough quality.
